As part of our ongoing presence at Severalls Hospital, Colchester following the commencement of the main infrastructure road and sewer works Barconn have been awarded the groundworks contract on behalf of Bellway Homes.


The project, will involve the company constructing the groundworks up to DPC on 96 units on the first phase of a multiphase redevelopment of the former Severalls Hospital site that closed in 1997.

The works includes:


• Foundations

• Brickwork to DPC

• Domestic Service Installations

• External Works

• Clean Capping Areas

Work: Infrastructure Roads and Sewers


Barconn limited are commencing on the main infrastructure works on behalf of a consortium made up of Bellway Homes, Taylor Wimpey EL and Bloor Homes at Severalls Hospital, Colchester which will see up to 1000 homes built on the old hospital site.


The project, involves the company completing onsite main infrastructure road and sewer works which will enable the building of 1000 homes to commence after the completion of demolition works.


The project will involve Barconn taking on a multitude of the services that we currently offer such as:


• Section 185 Sewer Diversions

• Section 104 Adoptable Deep Drainage

• Section 38 Adoptable Roads

• Pre-cast Stormcast Units

• Service Mains and Road Ducts
